Linen has been a staple in human life for approximately 10,000 years, supporting daily living through its use in clothing, sheets, and tablecloths. Compared to other natural materials, linen excels in breathability and moisture wicking. It is durable through washes, becoming more comfortable with wear and wash, making it almost ideal for the humid summers in Japan. Its minimal pilling and crisp texture are unparalleled. However, linen knitwear can be prone to coarseness, transparency, and wrinkling due to its natural stiffness and strength.

To mitigate these downsides, we've innovatively woven high-performance polyester derived from recycled PET bottles with linen. This combination maintains the rustic charm and crisp texture of linen while improving shape retention and quick-drying properties. Even after 100 washes, there was no loss of shape or stretch in the collar rib, maintaining its original appearance.

The simple rib knit of our WATCHCAP offers moderate elasticity without tightness, preventing sagging and stretching from wear. The discreet USL brand tag adds a subtle accent. Due to the natural variations in linen, such as uneven yarn thickness and color variations, each piece has a unique character. These are not flaws but rather inherent qualities of linen that we hope you will enjoy.

<Care instructions>

◆Washing

Machine washable. Long washing times can lead to shrinkage, so a short wash and spin cycle is recommended. Avoid washing in hot water. Using a laundry net is advised. The USL original laundry net is not included with the WATCHCAP. Also, avoid bleach, detergents with brighteners, and fabric softeners as they can affect the fabric's texture and color.

◆Drying

After washing, stretching the cap vertically and hanging it to dry is recommended. Dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area. Refrain from using a dryer.

To preserve the natural texture of linen, ironing is not recommended. If wrinkles occur, lightly apply steam. Direct ironing can cause shiny marks or impressions, so please use a pressing cloth.

*Due to the elasticity of the material, there may be slight variations in size. A tolerance of ±2cm is acceptable.
